Visitors to the Island of the Gods can become enthralled with the unique tastes of Balinese cuisine.

The true Balinese cuisine is, like much else in Bali, a matter of contrasts. Balinese cooking revolves around spices, often partnered by coconut milk, which adds a rich flavor and creamy texture to intriguing dishes of tropical vegetables, poultry, meat and fish. Sugar, fragrant roots and leaves are fondly used and the end result is food that is both subtle and sophisticated.

To learn more about Balinese cuisine during your holiday, our Chef will take you through some popular dishes, describe the techniques, and introduce you to a new world of spices.

The Paint-a-Pot program provides a unique opportunity to explore your inner artiste and bring home a souvenir for friends, family or yourself; anyone can take part, no matter age or level of artistic experience and each participant chooses how independently they’d like to work or how much assistance they want each step of the way. Bring in a group for a carefree event or get serious with your creativity.

First you’ll choose from a selection of ceramic mugs, bowls, plates, cups and saucers. Then, sketch a design for your piece and select from an array of colors and glazes to match. You’ll be ready to paint before you know it! There are stencils and sponge shapes to help guide or let loose with free form technique.
